ROUTEBURN CLASSIC 2008

Is a challenging adventure race through the magnificent fjord land mountains of the New Zealand’s South Island. It follows popular track connecting Mount Aspiring National Park with the Fjordland National Park. Crossing the Humboldt Mountais through some of the most beautiful ancient forests, big waterfalls and spectacular views on the surrounding mountain range. The Routeburn Track is 38km long and entrant numbers for the run are limited only to 225 athletes. This year had seen its fifth season and it’s becoming known to wide international scene.



Routeburn Classic Course Description (38km)
1. Divide to Lake Mackenzie - 13km
The start is around 500m before the “Devide” near the road from Te Anaou to Milford Sound.
2. Lake MacKenzie to Routeburn Falls - 15km
3. Routeburn Falls to Routeburn Road - 10km
The end finish line is at the Routeburn Shelter at the end of the road from Glenorchy.
